The "Pressure Washer" for Your Pipes

Imagine cleaning a dirty driveway with a broom. You might move some dirt around, but the stains remain. Now imagine using a pressure washer. It blasts everything away, leaving concrete that looks brand new.

That is the difference between snaking and hydro jetting.

A traditional snake punches a hole through the clog to get water flowing. But it leaves grease, sludge, and roots clinging to the walls of the pipe.

At On Tap Plumbing, we use hydro jet drain cleaning to scour the inside of your plumbing. We use water pressurized up to 4,000 PSI to cut through tree roots, emulsify grease, and flush out sand. It hits the “reset button” on your sewer system.

When Do You Need Hydro Jetting?

This isn’t for a simple clogged toilet. This is for the tough stuff.

Tree roots are thirsty. They invade your sewer line and form a thick net that catches toilet paper and waste. Our hydro jetter acts like a water saw, slicing through the roots and washing them down the line.

Restaurants are at constant risk of backups. Grease cools down and coats the pipes like hardened wax. Snaking just pokes a hole in the wax. Hydro jet drain cleaning melts the grease and scours the pipe walls to preventing health code violations.

Over decades, soap scum and sludge reduce the diameter of your pipes. If your drains are constantly slow, jetting restores the pipe to its original width, allowing maximum flow.

Why Choose On Tap Plumbing?

Hydro jetting is powerful. In the wrong hands, it can damage old pipes. You need a pro.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will hydro jetting break my pipes?

If the pipes are sound, no. If the pipes are old Orangeburg or crumbling cast iron, jetting might be too aggressive. That is why we always use a camera first.

It is more thorough. Snaking is for unclogging; jetting is for cleaning. Jetting lasts longer because it removes the buildup that causes new clogs to form.

Usually, we prefer to work from an outside cleanout to keep the mess outdoors. If we must work inside, we take extreme precautions to protect your home.

It costs more than snaking because of the equipment involved. We provide a flat-rate price upfront before we start the engine.

It cuts them out completely, but roots grow back. We recommend annual maintenance or a chemical root treatment after jetting to keep them away.
